For security reasons, your debit card will be blocked if there are 3 consecutive wrong PIN attempts on the account. However, the card will be activated automatically after midnight and you can access it thereon.
If you forgot the debit card PIN, please follow the below steps to generate a new PIN.
Pin generation through SBM Bank ATM:
Step 1: Insert your ATM/Debit Card
Step 2: On the Language screen, select "Generate PIN" option
Step 3: Select "Generate OTP" option
The OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number through SMS.
Generation of ATM PIN after OTP is received
Step 1: Insert your ATM/Debit Card.
Step 2: On the Language screen, select "Generate PIN" option
Step 3: Select "Set PIN" option.
Step 4: Enter OTP received on the registered mobile number
Step 5: Enter your new ATM PIN
Step 6: Re-enter your new ATM PIN
Your PIN will be successfully generated.

No, there are no fees for using your debit card for retail or online transactions. However, under certain merchant categories like railways, fuel or a fee may be levied by the merchant on every purchase.

You may change your debit card PIN anytime through any bank’s ATM.
PIN generation through ATM:
Step 1: Insert your ATM/ debit Card
Step 2: Select ‘Pin Change’ option
Step 2: Enter the old PIN
Step 3: Enter New PIN
Step 4: Reconfirm New Pin
PIN will be successfully changed.

We request you to apply for a new debit card through visiting your nearest branch. Once the request is made, the card will be delivered within 5 working days at your communication address updated in our records. Your existing card will be blocked on issue of your new card.

The Card Verification Value (CVV) is the final three digits of the number printed on the signature strip on the back of your card. It is required for online payment transactions.

OTP is required to safeguard your internet purchases whenever you use your debit card at participating merchant websites.

Step 1: The merchant swipes or dips your card at a Point of Sale (POS) terminal. In case of NFC card, wave the card near the terminal.
Step 2: The merchant enters the transaction amount on the POS terminal.
Step 3: The POS machine will prompt for the PIN to be entered by you. Please check the amount and cover key pad while entering the PIN.
Step 4: Once you enter the correct PIN and sign the charge slip, the transaction is confirmed and completed.
Step 5: Ensure that the card is returned to you. At any point do not disclose your PIN to anyone

Please report any fraudulent transactions to our customer care immediately and the card should be blocked immediately. Once reported, please provide more details as requested by our executive.

If the amount is debited from your account on an unsuccessful transaction, please report it to customer care and raise a dispute.

Loss of card must be reported immediately to the bank and the card should be immediately blocked. SBM Bank will take adequate steps in keeping with its policy to block the use of the card. You can place the request for a new card. Meanwhile, you can still access the funds through other channels like the branch or by issuing a cheque.
