Will SBM World Elite metal debit card powered by Mastercard® be issued by default if I am Private banking customer?
Private banking customers will receive World debit card powered by Mastercard if they don’t fall under the eligibility criterion for SBM World Elite metal debit card powered by Mastercard. This card is only by invitation please contact your SBM Private Relationship Director for more details.
What is the validity of my SBM World Elite metal debit card powered by Mastercard® ?
The Debit Card is valid for a period of 5 years from the date of issue of the card.
Are there any daily transaction limits for use of my card?
The following are the daily limits on SBM World Elite metal debit card powered by Mastercard:

Will I be able to use my SBM World Elite metal debit card powered by Mastercard® for international transactions?
Yes, this card is International Debit card and can be used for international transactions. Please enable the same through your internet banking or Mobile Banking. (Please note there are restrictions based on LRS)
Are there any forex markup charges applicable for this card?
There are no forex markup charges applied from SBM bank.
What should I do if my Debit card is lost/stolen?
In case of loss of card, you may block the Debit card from Net banking/Mobile banking or immediately report the loss on the bank’s customer care toll-free number

What is temporary block feature and how can I use it?
If you lost/forgotten your Debit Card you can block it temporarily using this option on Internet Banking/Mobile Banking under Manage cards.
How do I activate my card?
You can activate your card by generating a Green pin through Internet banking or mobile banking.
Joint account holders will receive a physical pin, the Debit card can be activated through any ATM transaction of any bank.
My Debit Card is going to expire soon, should I apply for a new Debit Card?
A new debit card will be sent to your communication address before the expiry of the existing debit card. You may also contact your SBM Private Relationship Director or Customer Care to apply for the same.
I came across a transaction on my account using a SBM World Elite metal debit card powered by Mastercard® which was not attempted by me? How do I report this transaction?

How can I change my SBM World Elite metal debit card powered by Mastercard® in case I forget it?
You may change/generate your PIN by logging to your Internet Banking/Mobile Banking.
PIN generation steps,
Step 1: Login to our Internet Banking.
Step 2: Click on My cards > Debit cards > Select card > Generate PIN.
Step 3: Card number will be displayed, enter expiry date, DOB, new PIN and confirm PIN.
Step 4: Click on continue.
Step 5: Enter OTP received on your registered mobile number.
Step 6: Click on submit.
Step 7: Message will be displayed as “Your PIN has been updated successfully”.
What should I do if my Debit Card gets damaged?
Please contact the SBM Bank Customer Care. SBM Bank will close your existing Debit Card and send you a new Debit Card.
What if I have entered an incorrect PIN?
For security reasons, your debit card will be blocked if there are 3 consecutive wrong PIN attempts on the account.
Will I get any intimation for my Debit Card transactions?
Yes. You will receive SMS and e-mail alerts for all debit card transactions to your mobile number and e-mail ID registered with us. If you have not registered your mobile number and e-mail ID in your account, please update it.
Is there restriction on free use of SBM Bank Debit Card on other bank ATMs?
There are no such restrictions for SBM World Elite metal debit card powered by Mastercard®
Are there any charges associated with using SBM World Elite metal debit for international Airport lounge access?
Customers are required to enable cross-border Ecom transactions prior to lounge access as a pre-authorization of US$35 per person is done to authenticate if the card is live and valid. The pre-authorisation hold of USD 35 will be charged for each lounge visit and will be reversed within 15 days from the date of the transaction.
