What is the difference between RTGS and NEFT?

    NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer):
Minimum and Maximum Limit: NEFT has no minimum or maximum limit on the amount that can be transferred. You can send any amount using NEFT.
Processing Time: NEFT transactions typically take around 2 hours to be processed. The funds are settled in batches during specific time slots throughout the day.

    RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement):
Minimum Amount: RTGS transactions can only be performed if the amount to be transferred is equal to or more than Rs. 2 lakhs.
Processing Time: RTGS transactions are instantaneous. Once initiated, the funds are transferred in real-time without any delay.

Both NEFT and RTGS are widely used for interbank fund transfers, but their key differences lie in the transaction limits and processing times. Choose the appropriate method based on your specific requirements.
